Our Life skills programs seek to build the capacity of individuals to make decisions and take actions that positively impact their lives and the lives of those around them. A primary goal is to promote psychological as well as physical well-being. One popular example of a life skills intervention is programming that seeks to empower youth to make responsible and healthy choices regarding reproductive health issues, particularly related to the risk of HIV. We do this through Restoration of hope to teen mothers by imparting skills that will improve their standards of living and live productive lives (the skills offered; tailoring, Baking, Agribusiness, Hairdressing. Crafts, etc.)
This program offers comprehensive life-skills training designed for youth and young adults which covers a series of structured core competencies designed in preparation for a successful transition to adulthood. These skills will help in money management, food management, personal care, housing, transportation, emergency and safety skills, health & wellness, educational planning, job-seeking skills, job maintenance skills, knowledge of community resources, interpersonal skills, legal skills, coping skills, anger management, relationships, pregnancy prevention, parenting, and childcare.
