In many cultures and societies, the girl child is denied her human rights and sometimes her basic needs. She is at increased risk of sexual abuse, early marriage, exploitation, and other harmful practices that negatively affect her survival, development, and ability to achieve her fullest potential. Because girls are particularly vulnerable, they require additional protection.
Our Rights Awareness programs offer Legal Aid and education to pregnant and parenting teens to raise awareness about their rights and also, engage in advocacy activities to fight for the respect of rights, equity, and equality. The program Carries out media campaigns to deconstruct harmful beliefs and attitudes toward parenting and pregnant teen girls and more sensitization to the communities and schools about the school continuity of pregnant teenage girls and mothers. This is done through media campaigns, community meetings, and school gatherings.
